Should I Start With My Slides?

What a great question! When looking at all the tasks for creating your photo estate, your slides should be one of the easier tasks on the to-do list.

They are smaller and uniform in size, many have dates on them or the boxes/carousels have dates and notes. 

First of all, if they are in carousels, you can remove a ton of clutter right off the bat. Remove the slides from the carousels and find a sturdy box (we use the old slide boxes with labels).

At the same time, you can use a light board or your phone and a magnifying glass (see this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4I6aPqFTQrQ) and remove repetitive and/or landscape photos with nobody in them.
