Apple Shared Albums is a feature that allows users to easily share photos and videos with a select group of people known as subscribers. 

To create a shared album on your iPhone, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Settings and turn on Shared Albums.
  2. Open the Photos app and navigate to the Albums tab.
  3. Click on the plus sign and select "New Shared Album."
  4. Name the album and invite people to join by typing in their names or email addresses.
  5. You can invite more subscribers by clicking on the person icon at the top of the screen.
  6. Turn on notifications if you want to be alerted when someone shares photos or an album.

Pros and Cons of Shared Albums

Pros:

  • Easy sharing of photos with family members and friends
  • Convenient way to save others' photos to your library 

Cons:

  • Limited options for displaying photos
  • Difficult to determine which photos belong to you
  • No ability to customize the key photo or front photo 
  • Challenging to download photos from iCloud
  • Can become disorganized with a large number of photos and multiple albums

It is advisable to avoid letting a large number of photos accumulate in shared albums. Instead, it's recommended to curate and organize these memories in your Master Family Folder.
