What's the #1 HABIT to Storing Your Digital Photos?

Organizing Digital Photos

We think of storing photos the same as saving photos.

The number one habit is to save last month's photos! At the start of each new month, take time to organize your previous month's photos. It's like cleaning up your digital space, and it's super effective.

Here's how to do it:

  1. First, grab your phone and scroll through your photos from the past month. Remove duplicates, blurry shots, and those random pictures that don't have value anymore.
  2. Next, connect your phone to your computer using a USB cable. Copy all those cleaned-up photos to a designated folder on your computer.
  3. Create a main folder like 'Master Family Photos' folder and then inside, create a subfolder for the month, like "2023-07 July Photos" then copy all your photos.
  4. Open that newly created month folder. Take a quick look and get rid of any photos that aren't really important. This keeps everything neat and ensures there are no duplicates.
  5. Then, you're left with a curated collection of the best memories from that month. Clean and ready to enjoy whenever you want and can be passed on to future generations.

By doing this every month, you'll gradually build a well-organized digital photo library that's easy to navigate. No more endless scrolling or searching for that specific photo.
